Ponnukku Thanga Manasu (Tamil as பொண்ணுக்கு தங்க மனசு) is an Indian family melodrama television series, which premiered on 20th August 2018 on Vijay TV from Monday to Saturday at 1:30 pm. It is a remake of the Malayalam serial Sthreedhanam that aired on Asianet. Produced by Risun Pictures, Ponnukku Thanga Manasu serial will be lead by Heroine Vindhuja Vikraman and Hero Ashwin are the main protagonists of the series along with an ensemble supporting cast including Chitra Shenoy, Tejaswini Shekhar, Vinuja Vijay and Vikash Sampath.

Story
Sethulakshmi (Chitra Shenoy), who is money minded and greedy wants her eldest son, Prashanth (Ashwin) to marry a girl from a rich family. But Prasanth loves Divya (Vindhuja Vikraman), a middle-class family girl and marries her. She is tortured by her greedy mother-in-law Sethulakshmi for dowry. Divya and Prashanth must stand up to Sethulakshmi to lead a happy married life.
Casting
The series revolves around dowry issues in a family. Vindhuja Vikraman is making her Tamil series debut as the female lead and Ashwin who formerly acted in Azhagu is the male lead. Actress Chitra Shenoy portrayed a negative mother-in-law role.
