Priya Rajkumar was born on 26th April to Rajkumar and C.k.Gariyali in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She completed her secondary education at The School – KFI, Chennai. She has a bachelor’s degree from Government College of Arts and Crafts, Kumbakonam. Priya married Karthikeyan Balaraman. The couple have one children.
Career
Priya Rajkumar is an Indian actress, who is working in Tamil film and television industry. She was born on 26th April in Chennai. Priya made her acting debut in the Tamil television serial “Premi” along with Renuka, directed by K.Balachander and produced by B.Kailasam.
Then after many years in Australia she returned to India in 2012 and restarted her acting career in 2015. She has acted with well-known actors like Silambarasan, Gautham Karthik, Vijay Sethupathi, Bose Venkat and Vikranth. Priya looks like a Poornima Bhagyaraj. She has appeared in some well-known films such as Remo and Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada. Her performances in many films were lauded especially in “Kavan” which was one of the Best films of the year 2017. She worked with some of the top names of that time like Priya in “Remo” along with Sivakarthikeyan, Keerthy Suresh, Sathish and Rajendran.
Social Activities
Aside from being an actor, Priyadarshini is also a Social worker and is Secretary of the Saraswathi Educational Cultural and Charitable Trust which conducted various educational, and charitable activities fir underprivileged women and children. Priyadarshini is also the main organiser of the Vasant Utsav Festival of dance held at Kapaleeswarar Temple in May each year.
