Shanoor Sana Begum, popularly known as Sana, is a Kannada, Telugu and Tamil actress. Earlier life
Popularly known as Sana, Shanoor Sana Begum was born in 22nd March 1971 in Hyderabad, Telangana. Her parents are a Christian father and Muslim mother Zaythoon begum. Even before finishing her studies, Sana got married to Sadath. She has two kids, son Syed Anwar Ahmed and daughter Tabasum Begum. Syed Anwar Ahmed is producer and actor from the TV Industry. Her daughter Tabasum Begum is a fashion designer. Sana isn’t bound to a certain religion.
Career
Sana started her career with Nagarjuna Akkineni’s starrer, Ninne Pelladata in 1996. She has starred alongside around 600 feature films alongside virtually all the leading stars of Telugu, Kannada and Tamil film industry. She was a constant accompaniment to virtually all the leading heroines in her films. Some of her movies are Sri Rama Rajyam & Pandurangadu with Nandamuri Balakrishna, Raja the Great, Daruvu, Sarocharu & Ee Abbai Chala Manchodu with Ravi Teja, Yamudiki Mogudu Ee Nela Thakkuvodu, Kevvu Keka & Saradaga Kasepu with Allari Naresh, Snehamante Idera & Ragada with Nagarjuna Akkineni, Srimanthudu with Mahesh Babu and most importantly, she behaved lady politician Ranganayaki alias Akka part in Tamil movie Rajapattai.
Her other movies include Vajram, Okariki Okaru, Aayirathil Iruvar, Malli Idi Rani Roju, Dongalu Bhale, Gowtam SSC, Love Storey, Malliswari and Goppinti Alludu. In 2016 she appeared in Samantha‘s most A Aa. She played Goundamani’s spouse in Tamil movie Enakku Veru Engum Kilaigal Kidayathu. She acted in Malli Idi Rani Roju as mother of Nithya Menon. Sana played some television show are Gomatha, Chakravakam and Adi Parashakti. She won the Star Maa Parivaar & Yuvakalavahini Awards 2019 for Best Mother of the character Sharada from Siri Siri Muvvalu. Sana is currently performing the leading role in Siri Siri Muvvalu sequential together with Marina Abraham in Telugu which airs on Star Maa.
