Uma Riyaz Khan was born on July 25, 1975 from Kamesh and Kamala in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He completed his secondary education at the Convent School of Fatima in Kodambakkam. She was a state-level athlete in 100 meters, javelin throw and professional dancer. She was a trained classical dancer, and later changed to salsa and other forms of Latin American dance. She is married to the Malayalam actor Riyaz Khan. They have two children, Shariq Hassan and Muniyandi Hassan.
Career
Uma Riyaz Khan is an Indian actress mostly active in Kollywood movies, as well as a Film and Television Actress. Who is working in Tamil and Hindi film industry. Uma made her acting debut in the Hindi film “Muskurahat” along with Amrish Puri, directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Pranlal Mehta. She also acted with popular actors like Dhanush, Kamal Haasan, Prakash Raj, Vikram Krishna and Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan. She has appeared in some well known films such as Love in Anbe Sivam, Ambuli and Maryan. Her performances in many films were lauded especially in “Anbe Sivam” which was one of the Best films of the year 2002. Uma was noted for roles in films like “Mouna Guru” along with Arulnidhi, Iniya, Kaali Venkat and Kaajal Pasupathi. Uma Riyaz Khan currently doing the negative role in Chandrakumari serial along with Raadhika Sarathkumar in Sun TV.
